Looks like it’s going to be a week (or more) of simple iPhone photos. With Christmas and holiday travels looming, I’m just too busy for any serious shooting. Shot with an iPhone, processed with the Lo-Mob iPhone app.
A prowl around the house with the iPhone was all I could muster today. Photo processed with the Lo-Mob app.
I have always considered the iPhone Hipstamatic app a guilty little pleasure–it’s fun but a bit gimmicky, and I tend to resort to it for my daily photo when I’m low on time or inspiration. But lo and behold, this morning when I sat down with my coffee and the New York Times a beautiful set of Hipstamatic photos of soldiers in Afghanistan graced the front page, above the fold. You can see the whole set of images by Damon Winter at the Times’ Lens blog.
A guilty little pleasure no more, perhaps.
All I could muster today, photography-wise, was to goof around with the iPhone Hipstamatic app. (I used the new Salvador 84 lens and DreamCanvas film, if anyone’s interested.) The lens creates some unpredictable and funky double exposures–an effect I will undoubtedly soon find tiresome–but it entertained me today.
And clearly, I’m opting here for quantity over quality. 🙂
