Meet Inigo Montoya, a goldfish that my daughter won at a local fair two weeks ago. (She picked the name–I was highly amused. For those you who don’t know, he was the wonderful character played by Mandy Patinkin in the movie The Princess Bride.) The most surprising thing is that he is still alive; despite my best efforts I usually kill goldfish within a day or two.
I cleaned the bowl today and figured it might make a good photo-of-the-day but my God, I must have taken 100 photos to get this right. I ended up putting the bowl on our porch railing to get a nice background and natural light (no getting lazy with construction paper this time, James!), although it was cloudy and I would have loved a blue sky peeking through. Maybe next time–if Inigo Montoya is still alive….
