Took a break today from our typical vacation schedule (eat, walk on the beach, lie on the beach, eat, lie by the pool, walk on the beach, shower, eat, sleep, repeat) and hired a boat to tour the nearby islands here in the Turks and Caicos. Our favorite stop was this secluded beach in Mudjin Harbor on Middle Caicos, where the overcast skies and strong surf seemed to be the most enticing subject for me and my camera.
The Turks & Caicos, like much of the Caribbean, are flat, sandy rather featureless islands with lots of scrub pine and mangrove, a few rather disappointing “tourist” stops (if you ever come to visit, you can skip the flamingos on North Caicos and Iguana Island, neither is worth the trip), but oh, the beaches. Breathtaking.
