This is the first time I have EVER posted a daily photo not taken by me, but I figured it was a good day to cheat…my husband and I threw a 50th Birthday Party for ourselves tonight (Jim celebrated his birthday two weeks ago and mine is three weeks from now), and with all the house guests and preparations (i.e. how on earth to apply such red lipstick without getting it on my teeth) I simply had no time for the camera.
We had a wonderful time and I–uncharacteristically–loved being the center of attention for the evening. The vintage “Mad Men” party theme made me realize that it may be time to eschew my “New York Black” wardrobe and embrace swirly, colorful skirts from now on.
