My daughter Kate is a fellow at the Yale Sustainable Food Project, and asked me to come up to New Haven to photograph their baby chickens in the hope of coming up with something for the cover of their annual report. I’m not sure they’re going to use this one, but it was my favorite shot of the day.
And for what it’s worth, photographing baby chickens is not unlike trying to get a toddler to sit still for a portrait.
