We chartered a helicopter this morning for a truly (and literally) breathtaking ride over the high Himalayas. Our pilot flew us up to 23,300 feet–it’s a good thing he was well acclimatized to the altitude, as the rest of us were near to fainting in the thin air. But my God, what an otherworldly landscape.
