Another spectacular hike in the Dolomites today; our planned five-and-a-half-hour hike turned into a seven-hour hike after a bit of a wrong turn, but my daughter and I actually enjoyed every minute (well, almost), especially the restaurant we unexpectedly stumbled into at the halfway mark. Who knew a simple bowl of minestrone verdure would wind up to be the best soup I’ve ever eaten? Perhaps I should have taken a photograph of that…rather than all these postcard landscapes. 🙂
