Braving light rain and heavy mist, my daughter and I ventured out for another hike in the Dolomites this morning. We hiked across the Resciesa pasture, and then up the Panascharte, a climb so arduous that we would have turned around rather than tackle it if the weather had been clear enough for us to see what we were in for. (A few photographs in clearer weather here, here and here.) Even though the views were obscured by fog and cloud, we were elated to reach the top.
