Our apple tree burst into bloom today (and I mean BURST–it was nothing but buds yesterday and today it is a riot of flowers). I must have taken 50 photos of it, but none of them seemed to capture the tree’s splendor or satisfy me for my photo of the day. So I snipped off a few blooms and put them in a vase, photographed them with one of my old white shawls as a back drop and added a texture overlay in Photoshop.
