I had an appointment in Manhattan today and vowed to do some street shooting despite the rain (which feels like it may never end). I spotted this man window shopping and loved his hat, his crinkly sleeves and how his hands were clasped behind his back. I followed him for two blocks and he never once unclasped his fingers. Although I took a number of shots of him walking, this first shot was the best. I wish I had had a little more distance on him, but when you’re working fast (and holding an umbrella to keep the camera dry) you take what you can get.
