It has been wickedly hot and dry here in the Northeast; it often looks like rain is imminent yet it never appears. This spot in my local woods is usually a flowing waterfall, but it has been reduced to dry rock and an electric green algae pool. Lovely as the scene may be, I’d love to see it washed away by some pounding, cooling rain.
