It is a real task to take a photo every day–which I have been doing, on and off (mostly on), for nearly six years–especially when you are on oft-trodden ground, as I am when home in suburban Connecticut.
I am certain that have walked by this fallen tree hundreds of times on my morning walk with the dog, yet today was the first time I really noticed it. There is beauty in its decay; the subtle lines of the dead branches and snake-like vines seemed worth photographing on this lovely, overcast morning.
