I realize this is not exactly a “Christmas” shot, but given the amount of food we’ve all been cooking and consuming around here lately, my kitchen may indeed qualify as a Cafeteria. Plus, this is an homage to one of my favorite photographers, Ralph Gibson, who could (and does, still) turn the simplest scenes into the sublime.
Merry Christmas everyone, and may the pleasures that family, friends, loved ones and “Cafeterias” offer up remind you to count your blessings and treasure what matters most.
