Today was a gluttonous photographic all-you-can-eat smorgasbord, crowned by this shot of a sunset on the Mekong river from the deck of our boat.
The morning market in Luang Prabang was stunning in a different way, from the variety of people to the variety of food on offer, including water buffalo ears and hooves, dried rats and bats, roasted frogs…and the more traditional fare. About the only thing I didn’t photograph were the buffalo testicles, but perhaps that is for the best.
And last, but certainly not least, a pair of young, happy monks framed by a lovely French colonial building. I think I caught them at the perfect moment.
