Lacking an underwater housing for the camera, outdoor photography was out of the question today. Lord, did it RAIN! The weatherman kept warning us that it would turn to snow–which would have been welcome–but it just kept on raining; cold, wet and unrelenting. So a house prowl was my only recourse; today just a lamp and mirror in our bedroom. At least it’s a photo that feels a little warm–and dry.
I seriously considered not taking a photo today and poaching something from the archives, but there is something about skipping a day that scares me a little; I’ve not missed a photo in 380 days, and despite finishing my first year there is something about this wonderful and maddening project that spurs me forward. Perhaps I fear that one missed day will bring the endeavor to a grinding halt, perhaps it’s because the habit has become so deeply engrained, perhaps it’s that I really love coming up with something new every day. And most likely it is all of the above.
