It was another bitterly cold day but the sun was shining so I headed down to Rye Playland–yet again–in search of inspiration. This place is full of interesting Art Deco architecture, and the low angle of the sun and the clear, bracing air were just the ticket for a shot like this. (Not exactly the ticket for my poor cold, fingers, however. BRRR.)
And now for an interesting tidbit (I’ve just been reading up on Rye Playland on Wikipedia): The scene at the end of the film “Big” where the “Zoltar the Magnificent” fortune teller machine returns the adult Tom Hanks to his childhood were filmed on Playland’s boardwalk. Cool.
