For our last day of hiking in Big Sur, my son Patrick and I headed down to Julia Pfeiffer Burns State Park. We took the Ewoldsen trail all the way to the top, above the trees, above the clouds. By the end of the day our muscles were protesting the three solid days of hiking, but we loved every minute of it.
