Fifth Avenue was shoulder-to-shoulder crowded today, which can make the hunt for a street photograph overwhelming; crowds are good, but dense throngs can be a real hindrance to isolating that interesting moment that is central to a great street shot. But then, right about the time I was in need of a little psychic relief from the crowds and the heat myself, this sign-holder appeared–I love how he is nearly the lone man in a sea of women, stoically advertising quackery amidst the chaos.
