Many Nantucket houses are literally covered in climbing roses, and when they all start blooming by midsummer the island’s charm factor goes into overdrive. Apparently the constant breezes and salt spray on the island are hugely beneficial to their health (if only those weather conditions were equally as beneficial to my hair), keeping most common rose diseases in check.
This little cottage is just a couple blocks from our rental and I have shot it several times. Today the light was just right.
