Gale force winds and rain or not, I headed out with my camera today determined to get some sort of shot that said “Nantucket.” Brandt Point Lighthouse seemed like the ticket, and the only benefit of the howling wind and rain was that the beach was basically deserted. There was one intrepid couple who asked me to snap a quick photo of them in front of the lighthouse; they had a tiny little camera and the wind was blowing so hard that my first shot of them wound up being at a 45 degree angle–and here I thought I knew how to hold a camera steady!
I am often a target for tourists wanting a photo of “the two of us;” I guess they figure anyone carrying a camera and lens as big as mine must be able to take a simple tourist shot. Too bad for today’s couple…although I did take a second shot (ask my kids, no one, not even strangers, get off with just one shot from me). Just hope that one was in focus.
