I should really post this photo of my son Patrick tomorrow (on St. Patrick’s Day no less), but it was taken today so that’s that. We were down on the Colorado River in the Grand Canyon, and when I looked up at him (I’m short, he’s tall) I immediately thought of the character Howard Roark in Ayn Rand’s “The Fountainhead,” with whom he shares more than a few personality traits (just the good ones).
