We’re back home in Connecticut, and this morning I had my first look at the devastation in the woods following last week’s horrific storm. There are fallen trees blocking nearly every path, and my daily walk with the dogs was more of an obstacle course than a pleasant hike in the woods. This was the worst storm we have ever seen in the nearly 20 years we have lived here; most of the town lost power for nearly a week. The devastation in my beloved park almost made me weep.
