Day one with Joel Meyerowitz and the workshop is shaping up to be an experience above and beyond my high expectations. We spent the morning reviewing everyone’s portfolios–including, best of all, Joel’s–and then went out on the streets of Palm Springs to do some street photography (New York City it’s not, but the weather trumps anything NYC can offer this time of year).
I’ve always been very shy about taking photos of strangers, but Joel’s how-to demonstrations and enthusiasm for the genre were positively infectious.
