My sister and I are in Minneapolis helping my mom sort through my dad’s many collections: blue and white china…books on oriental gardening…organ music…every publication the Harvard Class of 1951 EVER published…etc. etc. I’m decamped at the local DoubleTree hotel, and this morning on the way down for an early workout I noticed the wonderful slant of light in the elevator bay.
