A quick macro shot of a tiny new bloom on a Japanese maple tree in my local park, taken before my husband and I left for Prague. I’m posting this two days late, and tormented by the fact that I took a fantastic photo from the window of our plane (23 minutes after midnight!) that thereby disqualified it for today’s photo of the day. I was all set to cheat on this one, but my husband has become my moral conscience for this project and forbade it. Hrrmph.
