Morning on East 7th Street, noon on Broadway and evening on Fifth Avenue–a trio of photos taken today on a walk through lower Manhattan and midtown. I love the beautiful low-angled light in New York City at this time of year, but the days have become so depressingly short that the morning shot was taken at 10 am and the evening shot before 3 pm, and to me the light was almost the most beautiful at noon.
It reminds me of the time my mother was asked if she was a morning person or a night person, and she responded, “I think I’m a mid-day person.” At this time of year I guess I am too.
