I headed back to Byram Beach again this afternoon with the intention of photographing this very ladder. I’ve photographed it once before (unsuccessfully), tried again two days ago (unsuccessfully), but today the tide and light were just about right and the water was relatively clear.
It’s funny, this is one of those odd photographs that I find appealing, but I can’t quite articulate why. It is just a ladder, after all, but a bit enigmatic and mysterious. Perhaps that is enough.
