Near record-setting heat and humidity sapped my enthusiasm for photography today, and I truly thought today would be the day I quit this daily photo project once and for all. But I had my iPhone with me on my afternoon walk with the dogs, and I stopped for a moment to take a photo of this needleleaf Japanese maple tree before making a beeline home to the relief of central air conditioning.
It’s not a photo I’ll ever hang on a wall, but I’m kind of amazed by the clarity of the new camera in the iPhone 4. (Less amazing are the crappy reception and frequently dropped calls on this new gadget–c’mon, Apple–it is supposed to be a phone, too.)
The technical details: iPhone 4, Hipstamatic app with the John S lens and Black Keys Supergrain film, slight highlight recovery in Lightroom.
