Another gray and wet day here, but the soft light was beautiful on this weeping cherry tree in the Montgomery Pinetum, a lovely park next to my house. I did not see a single soul in the park’s 100 acres of woods, and it was so quiet and peaceful while I was photographing the pink blossoms that I could clearly hear all the bees buzzing around me. It was a few minutes of absolute zen-like calm that reminded my why I love to photograph the natural world. I hope this photo–in some small way–transmits that feeling.
