There is a small abandoned house just up the street from where I live; it is slated for demolition this spring so I realized that I’d better start photographing it before it is nothing but rubble. I’m dying to get inside but it is locked tight against those with more nefarious purposes than mine–I’ve peeked through the dirty lace curtains and skewed blinds to see a photographic project with potential. For now, this is my homage to Aaron Siskind’s and Minor White’s beautiful photos of peeling paint.
